A Message from Fr. Jay
Dear Friends,
Last week on Pentecost Sunday, we reflected on how the Holy Spirit became personified by Jesus as the Advocate who promotes unity. This week, we continue to celebrate with the Feast of the Holy Trinity. This completes the explanation of the nature of our oneness with God through the Holy Trinity. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit together, demonstrate the essence of unity which is ‘Love’.
Trinity is a mystery. Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists of our time, had dissected almost anything and everything under the sun and gave plausible explanations. It was he who made this famous statement: “The most beautiful and deepest experience a man can have is the sense of the mysterious… He who never had this experience seems to me, if not dead, then at least blind.”
The mystery of the Holy Trinity is better understood only in terms of relationships, not as a theorem. Many important theologians have tried their best to explain the Holy Trinity, but it could only be understood and cherished by experiencing our love relationship with God. Trinity is love in action. The Holy Trinity remains a beautiful mystery, and it will always be. Let us enter into a relationship with God by simple admiration of Him like little children.
This weekend, we also celebrate and remember all Fathers/Grandfathers/Godfathers or father figures in our lives. Let us strengthen our relationships with the fathers in our lives.
Next weekend, we celebrate the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). The 11:15am Mass will be a multicultural celebration. This Mass will conclude with a Eucharistic Procession around the campus and end with exhibition and benediction in the main church. It would be a great honor and glory to remind ourselves about the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
God Bless,
Fr. Jay Raju
