A Message from Fr. Jay

Dear Friends,

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts” – Mark Twain

Two disciples were traveling from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They were surprised by an unknown stranger who accompanied them on the way. This encounter resulted in the revelation of Jesus by the breaking of word and bread. The short journey, probably 7 miles, was made a pleasant one that revealed many things to them. In fact, it was the real celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The Emmaus experience after the resurrection, was the second event of the Holy Eucharist instituted by Jesus before His passion and death.

Like those two disciples on the way to Emmaus, we also make spiritual journeys within ourselves and with others. With the right accompaniment of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, we could cherish the joy of Easter every day. Make your travel a joyful one.

God Bless,
Fr. Jay Raju
