Why does Young Family Ministry Exist?

A Young Family Ministry is a vital part of parish life because it creates a supportive community where parents and children can grow together in faith. By joining, families build friendships with others who share their values, receive encouragement in living out their Catholic faith at home, and find opportunities to deepen their relationship with Christ through prayer, service, and fellowship. It also helps parents nurture their children’s spiritual formation while being supported in their own vocation of family life.

“The family is the basic unit of society and of the Church. It is the ‘domestic church.’ Families are those living cells which come together to form the very substance of parish life.” — Pope St. John Paul II
