A Message from Fr. Jay
Dear Friends,
Once again, a warm welcome to all our friends from the north. Let your stay during the season bring you all spiritual nourishment and refreshment.
November is the month of remembrance of our loved ones, both living and deceased. There are living saints, so we celebrate All Saints Day. Some have passed away and are in heaven, and we celebrate All Souls Day. However, it is also a time to rejoice that they are safe in heaven and joyful with the Lord.
I propose that you remember to pray for one living soul and one departed soul each day. It could be someone such as a family member, godparent, relative, friend, veteran or clergy. Make a list of at least 30 souls living, 30 souls departed and offer personal prayers for those souls each day. Each Sunday in November please make some special prayers for the souls the purgatory.
Throughout November, let us also reflect on how we can be prepared for our own death. We are all called to His sainthood. In shaping us to lead a good and holy life, there have been many souls in our lives who have gone to their eternal reward. Let us remember all those souls who came into our lives.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Let perpetual light shine upon them.
God Bless,
Fr. Jay Raju
